I have the Fujifilm X100F which is an APS-C 24mp compact with a 23mm fixed lens that is very sharp. I'm sure the Canon will give excellent results as well.

Our Best Buy store has the X100F displayed with the point-n-shoot cameras.
I was surprised to see it there, but there aren't very many cameras with the same features & specs.
Awesome camera!
I miss my X100s sometimes.

Funny, I have used an APS-C compact camera for 4 years now, its called a Nikon Coolpix A.
Looks like it is a good camera. A little expensive I must say. $1300.
Point and Shoot??? implies no adjustment like my Kodak Hawkeye!! This camera is NOT a point and shoot. NOT a DSLR, sure I agree with that.

Have you seen the cameras that B&H lists as point and shoot?
I don't think the limited functions of film point and shoots exist in todays digital world. As technology progresses so does the way we define those advances.

Yes indeed, the Sony RX10 IV is considered a point and shoot. It has 90% of the functionality of a DSLR. I think almost any camera without interchangeable lens capability is considered a point and shoot nowadays.
The thing I am saying is P&S cameras are usually low grade crap, whereas a $500 cameras like DSLR may have an Auto Setting, but also have the other adjust parameters like a DSLR. Are Bridge cameras P&S, well by B&H definition I suppose... but just because some one making up their index should not dictate our vocabulary. To call a fine camera a P&S is degrading... "oh, Joe just uses some P&S to take his photos.. "
