Tony Romo To The Rescue. The Green Bay Packers?

Yesterday, the Green Bay Packers lost their star quarterback, Aaron Rodgers. Some say he is the League's best quarterback today. Despite this QB lost, the Packers are tied for first place in their division. The 2nd string Packers QB is not anywhere near the talent of Rodgers. Rumor is floating around, that former Cowboys QB Tony Romo could be called out of retirement, to put on a Packers uniform. Now, wouldn't that be something. The Packers have been nothing but trouble for the Cowboys. Just go back to the late 1960s. Romo is presently a football analyst for CBS Sports. Would he accept if asked?

If the money was sweet enough. You bet.
He is not the best analyst / commentator and they always think they have one more great game / season in them, no matter how battered the body has become.

What would really surprise us all is if Colin Kaepernick made the next start. It would avoid the NFL getting al their soiled laundry on display while they fight the collusion grievance he just launched today.

Colin Kaepernick will not play for the Green Bay Packers. A lot of people don't know, that Aaron Rodgers was, or still is, the Ambassador of the State of Wisconsin. Appointed by the State's Legislators. Rodgers accepted the non paying position. Rodgers can go anywhere he wants to in Wisconsin, promoting well being and good citizenship. He's adored there. Both Colin and Tony would only have the QB job for one year. A possibility to win a Superbowl Ring. Rodgers would ultimately return. How long is the question, and will Rodgers broken collarbone heal sufficiently, for him to play the post season, if the Packers qualify.

#55 Jersey of the Minnesota Vikings, Anthony Barr was responsible for the hit and tackle on Aaron Rodgers. Tony would not have survived such a hit and tackle either. No roughing the passer penalty was called. Meaning it was interpreted as a clean hit and tackle.

Romo is enjoying his success in the booth. why would he want to go back to being beaten up at his age.

I don't think he would have been in the booth if a good team was available after Jerry Jones released him from the Cowboys. He said when released, that he doesn't want to go to a garbage team. Couldn't blame him for that decision.

I hope Romo takes the job. As a Cowboys fan, Romo will find a way to pull defeat from the jaws of victory for the Packers, just as he did for many years for the Cowboys. It should help Dallas.

Aaron Rodgers is the best NFL QB playing today. The second string Packers QB is named B. Hundley. From UCLA. Thus far, there has been nothing yet in the interest in Romo from the Packers. TV rumor has it that getting in physical shape, coming from the booth, may take too long for Romo. And to learn the Packers offensive system. The second string quarterback is already in physical shape, and young. Romo is now 37 years old. Experienced, but old, and injury prone. Remember those Dallas injuries. It cost him his job. Dak Prescott took over Romo's job.

Tony Romo is the Cowboys' Wally Pipp. Wally shouldn't have gotten hurt and neither should Tony. It opened up the jobs to players who wouldn't relinquish it back to them.

The Cowboys aren't exactly in the driver's seat right now with Dak Prescott. Aaron Rodgers went to Dallas again and beat them at home, not long ago. The Cowboys have to worry about Philadelphia and Washington right now. Cowboys are 2-3 as of today. And the upcoming schedule isn't easy either.

Did you see the game? Dak took the Cowboys down and scored with a little more than a minute left to score for the lead. Unfortunately, too much time left on the clock for Rodgers. So...don't go dissin' Dak unless you know what you're talking about.

I'm not dissing Dak. He played college ball in Mississippi. I like him. I'm just referring to the great arm of Aaron Rodgers. He has beaten Dak Prescott twice. Once last year, (a key game) and once this year. Both games in Dallas. Rodgers only needs two minutes or less to beat you. Same as Tom Brady too. Aaron has done it to other teams. Remember that Hail Mary pass one time, that won a game with just a few seconds remaining?

As for Kaepernick , his true colors really came to light last week when it was revealed that he's sympathetic to the killer of a NJ State Trooper by donating money to her in April . I'd spit in his face if I had the chance , and thousands of NY Giants fans here would too . He's a coward and his actions are destroying the NFL by being a rabble rouser . Tony Romo is one hell of an athlete . You never know , if offered he may want to give it a shot .

I always liked Tony Romo. Believe it or not, he grew up being a Green Bay Packers Fan. I doubt if anyone will pick up Kaepernick. There were others who wanted another chance to play in the NFL. They were Tim Tebow, RG3, Johnny Manziel, Terrell Owens, and Ocho Cinco, who played for the Bengals. He later played in Canada. Only Tim Tebow and RG3 didn't carry any negative baggage, to bring to a team. Their present skills were a determination, for not landing a job. And some wife and girlfriend beaters were also not wanted in the NFL anymore. Tebow is seeking a baseball career. He was one hell of a college QB player at Florida.
