Photo Web-Site with Duplicate File (Image) Finder

For several years now, I've had an account with 500px, a photo Web-site. I uploaded 2000 photos to its Web-site. In the process, inadvertently, I uploaded a few duplicates.

By inquiry, I learned that 500px has no filter to identify duplicates for action such as deletion of them. And 500px has no plans for such a filter.

Hence, I want to move my photos to a photo Web-site that has a filter to identify duplicates.

I will appreciate any suggestions -- except for Smug Mug, which I found unacceptable when I tried it.

Thank you.

Flickr doesn't stop duplicates either. If these two leading sites don't see the business need to develop a filter, you probably won't find a smaller outfit either. Wouldn't it be the photographer actively managing their own content that is best qualified and responsible for filtering their content when uploading to their own self-manage site?

I have 2000 photos on the Web-site. No way exists for me to see them all at once or to screen them.

I have less than 1000 on 500px so I can appreciate the magnitude of the effort. That said, it would probably be just a single dedicated day.

In the All photos view you can begin, maybe by creating a gallery of candidate duplicates and drag those you identify as candidates into the gallery as your work down the all-photos display. Have multiple browser windows open concurrently so you can monitor the gallery at the same time as your profile window. It's just work ... When you're done, remove everything in the gallery and then delete the gallery.

I use LR to help me avoid adding duplicates now. This a complete manual effort, but I place any images exported for use in 500px or Flickr into a site-specific collection for these images. It's a bigger issue to me to assure I use each platform uniquely, not putting the same image into both sites.

Thank you for describing a workaround for detecting duplicate images in my 500px account. I will give it a try. If it succeeds, then it will save me the likely larger chore of ending my 500px account and going to another photo Web-site.

Have a good day.
