Here is the last piece of photographic equipment that my widow friend gave to me. Heavy devil. Extends from about 3 feet to 6 feet. Pans, tilts and does most everything that a 50-year old tripod could do. Any questions, please ask. I am curious as to what the value is as I have no clue. Thanks!

I have one it's aluminum. I bought it in The early to mid 70's. The $85.00 mentioned sounds about right

Here is a link to the "Sold" listings on eBay. Much more accurate than the active listings. That $85 quote seems a bit high. Looks like it goes from around $32 on up...

I have one and would never sell it for $32 dollars (maybe $33) I have had mine for over 50 years and it is part of my history.

I bought mine new in 1962 when they were made in a large garage in Rutherford NJ for $35. Still have it.

Back in the day, I bought my first Leitz Tiltall Tripod from 47th Street Photo in the "Diamond District" for $69.50 plus tax. Great deal for a basic tripod: adjustable in 3 directions, height to 70 inches, lightweight but bulky when closed, made of aluminum, 3 section, tight legs which didn't wobble and pretty well made for the price. I use an "S" hook to hang a gallon jug of water along the center post to stabilize the tripod. It was bought to supplement my studio Linhof which weighed 30 lbs and not too portable. Since my original purchase in the 70's, I've picked up several more for $15-30 depending on condition. There is a "Star-D" knockoff version which looks like a twin that was also sold by 47th Street Photo and other stores for $49.50; I have one of those too. Really good copy of the original but not as tight and precisely made. Cheers. Ed
