If I remember right the Jones Act was to protect American seamen and their jobs, the problem is that we do not have US Flag bottoms, ships, every thing is under foreign flags as they have lower safety and pay standards, too easy for the profiteers to get around our incomplete regulations

Another Trump hit job . I'm a member of the U.S. Naval Institute , and from day one , the American government were getting food , medicine and water underway aboard US Navy ships .
The accusation that Trump " took a tiny break from his NFL feud " insinuates that he can't do two things at once . Typical garbage .
Trump has many faults as a man , but this constant bashing has an agenda . An agenda rooted in the fact that some Americans and American institutions like the New York Slime aka New York Times , have stooped so low that their stories mislead the public with outright falsehoods in attempt to a destroy a man because they are unhappy about the general election results .
The actions of the Left are only dividing the country further . Trump will win hands down in 2020 because the level of anger by trying to feed Americans false news is only rising .
To use a crisis like this as a way to form a hit piece is disgusting .

That's correct , it was to protect American sailors and merchant marines . What a politically incorrect idea .

I rundderstand it was signed into effect by Woodrow Wilson just before WWI in an effort to ensure there were plenty of American ships and sailors that could be called into service, in the event America joined the war. Now it seems to be a tool of the Longshoremans Union to make sure they have a stranglehold on American shipping and ports. Don't get me wrong, I'm generally in favor of unions but this law was never intended to be used like this.

I see you agree with me, I'm not happy about everything he says but , the press is making money out of picking on him, tv shows to ridicule him, one news commentator had to take a day off from picking on him because of the hurricane!
