I use it and find it quite effective and intuitive. A good alternative to Photomatix if you don't already have it. The new version available Sept 28 works on both Windows and Mac computers.

I have both and I find Aurora easier to work with (maybe because it is newer software). I have used Photomatix for a number of years keeping it updated with updates, however I find it a hit and miss when using it for HDR, sometimes I get what I want but some times it looks to artificial.

I agree with Bruce that Aurora is more intuitive and produces the results I'm after more easily. I do have both, but most often use Aurora unless I'm after the grunge effect (which is rarely at this point)......

I am interested but don't own any other aurora software. Is the HDR software stand alone? Thanks.

Yes, it can be stand alone, but wait for the 2018 which has more functions. It's available next Thursday, the 28th.

I use Aurora and Luminor exclusively and have been doing so for two years. Very happy with both.

The program is for Windows and Mac, will work with Lightroom 4.4...Julian
