I just found out that I am on greymule's ignore list. It is certainly within his right to do this. It will not ruin my life. But it says more about him than it says about me. I have never responded with foul language, never called him any unpleasant names. Apparently he does not like dissenting opinions. I don't write long winded responses. I usually have facts to back up my positions, although sometimes they are purely my opinions. What's he afraid of? His latest rant was about the constitution and his mistaken idea that it was written for the purpose of avoiding income ine******y. The Constitution was written so as to limit the powers of a federal government and has nothing to do with the wealth or lack thereof of the citizenry. There has always been income ine******y and there will always be. And at this time there is a higher percentage of wealthy Americans than at any other time in our history.

There has always been ine******y, right. The Constitution doesn't address this issue, correct.
Tax Policy does, and current Tax Policy is to build ine******y into our society--big, permanant, destructive ine******y.
We will eventually have family trusts worth billions, families who do nothing, who need to do nothing to remain supremely wealthy, families whose powers and influence will be to to increase ine******y, and diminish the freedom and lifestyle of commoners, destroying the nation as we know it.

Don't worry Twat. We will make sure you have a job as a footman. Or better yet, in the stables

Maybe if you had provided for your family you wouldn't be so envious.

They feel that it is the government's job to support them.
Everyone is entitled except those who have to pay for it 'eh.

The problem is that there are millions like Twat who didn't have the intelligence or foresight to look towards the future. Now they are envious of what we have and think we should share our rewards with them. Well it isn't going to happen so they should get ready to starve as I have no pity for fools!

Won't happen. Ever hear of food stamps? The recipients of which call SS an entitlement!

True. I always consider SS an entitlement as we were forced to pay into it. Food stamps are a handout that should be restricted to a year at most. If you're still on them with no severe injury or mental defect, then they are freeloaders who should be kicked off the gravy train.

If you are forced to pay into it, it is coercion and robbery. I guess you could look at it that way if you thought you were entitled to your own money. They feel entitled to someone else's money.

I think that as policy, we ought to have a flat tax with only 2 deductions for individuals interest on all loans and chritible contributions. And a much lower corporate income tax-20%. for individuals earning less than$25,000 no tax. Everyone else 15%. This however is a fantasy as congress would never allow it. Speaking of congress we need 2 amendments to the constitutions 1- term limits 2 all laws passed by congress shall apply to the members. This also is a fantasy

Everyone should have to pay some tax. A flat tax is the best solution across the board.

That is it in a nutshell! Whether a wealthy person's money was hard-earned or handed down should not matter. Why should anyone expect that a wealthy person should just give away their wealth? It's so easy to say "Spread the Wealth", but when it is YOUR wealth they are wanting to spread, it becomes personal. It should be NONE of the government's business how a person obtained their money and how it is "used". The only fair taxes would be flat taxes based on
earned income, NOT how much money someone has managed to save, or how much they inherited.

While I certainly undestand that all should have some skin in the game, at 25 grand you will find it very hard to support a familly. Even if the rate is 10% that still reduces thE take home pay to 22500. We are a wealthy enough country so we don't have to punish the less fortunite. They don't pay any taxes now.

If someone is trying to support a family on $25K yr, they have more problems than their income.
