Churches..being the repent sinner that I am and also a jackleg preacher, which started years ago in the Caribbean in my Navy days when another preacher friend of mine, Tubes Doheny, would visit various establishments on weekend liberty to convert poor souls from their sad situations to a more holy and chrsitian way of life.

Believe me, when I am in Norfolk, VA I have tried many times to save some souls in this house of worship, but for naught. I have an idea for my next visit as there must be someone in there who is looking for the spiritual light to shine through their back door

Now I've been all over this church and it was erected, the original one which later burned down (apparently it was hotter'n hell) in 1849 and rebuilt soon after. The beams are 18'' squared and had hewned, there are no nails and they are made of red pine. Naturally due to lack of transportation the wood came from the parish or nearby.

good morning all you holy rollers...Nice stuff.
I got me a long list of churches from all over the place in my archives and Ill show you just a few cause you would shoot me right off the challenge if I didnt get selective.
Now you know I was just in Israel and I think there are more churches than synagogues. Sherrie Im sure your intent is house of worship so lets see what I find. I decided to spare you and limit my selection....hahahah I have tons more ...lots of stained glass, but these are some of my faves...hope you enjoy them

roadrunner...that pic with the holy man in the light is pretty darn cool.

Sherrie I like the mission

Bushido...i like the tippy top with the bell(5th)...and it is nice to have you back. What were you doing ...waiting for man support from RR...hahahah

you musta been posting same time as me...good stuff..somehow I never figured you for a brunette...
HAVE FUN WITH PEANUT...should still be nice and cool. cant wait to see what you two come up with today.

ok one more...this is also from the Western Wall...I just liked it.
Im amazed how many little pieces of paper where jammed into the cracks of the Western wall. Wouldnt you think that a all powerful god would be able to know what was in your prayers without reading them?????

I wonder who the artist was???? had to look it up and what I found does not surprise me one bit.
