That's interesting. Do you mean no responses to any questions, or something else? I live in Houston, so I am somewhat preoccupied.

At the time I joined UHH, this forum was the first one for me to have an option of putting in your location.
I didn't add location at first to protect my privacy.
I soon decided to include where I was for reference for everyone on the forum.
My full name, address is already all over the internet.
So, I added mine.
It is nice to see where everyone is from.
I've met few members due to knowing our locations. One has developed into a great friendship. I know others have, too.

In Hiding, is the display made in your name banner when you do not put a location in your profile. So, now that I know that people don't read their profile and think they will somehow be compromised if they put in even the barest of information, like I put in "Nashville", I see why they don't know what "in hiding" means. Many times, when I look at a photo that someone took in their back yard, I would like to know at least the area of a state so I can relate the bird, bee, or whatever to a geographic location.
But I certainly understand that if you are in the Witness Protection Program, or think you are about to be, you would not let us know even which country you are in...

Many folks don't add their location because they believe it protects them. Protects them from what I don't know. My listed location is southeastern and southcentral PA because my home is in Chester county PA and my home away from home is in Lancaster County PA. I have no fear of some crazed hog tracking me down based on my location, it's just not realistic. I believe it is nice to know what part of the world the folks one is conversing with are located.
