I use a Manfrotto ProLite to travel and carry all my gear. It has different access points and holds allot of gear. I also carry a smaller bag for those excursions where I am not packing the big lens. The smaller back pack easily fits inside the larger one. The ProLite is well made and the straps tuck in when you need to stow it on a plane.

If you're looking for a shoulder bag, I would recommend the Lowepro Magnum series. They're very strong shoulder bags. They have a one-piece molded bottom that can take a lot of weight. I have the Magnum 200 model. I put my Nikon D7000 with Nikon 80-400mm lens in the bottom. It's a fairly large shoulder bag. The Magnum 400 and 650 models are even larger.

I have been a big fan of this line for several years:

A little pricey, but extremely well made, rugged and durable.

Look up someone who makes bags. Years ago I found a lady that made bags for EMT's and had her make me what I wanted. I have used it for about 15 years now.
