Sony announced a very compact camera with a 1" sensor. It's not in competition with the GoPro. Up to fifteen of these can be triggered together. Of course, at over $1,000 each, that's not something most people would be doing.

FYI the RX0 II is forthcoming. To include eye autofocus, among other advances.
