Welcome to UHH Jim, glad you joined us. I also shoot with Nikon gear, presently a D7100, D7200 and various Nikon glass. You will like your D7200, it is one fine camera.
Have fun, learn and enjoy the forum.

Welcome Jim,
The D7200 is a fine body. I have a D750 and if I get another it will be a D7200. You will find this forum to be very informative and entertaining and maybe over opinionated at times. Shoot lots, "film" is cheap. Have fun, ask questions, read and practice. I have had my D750 over a year now and it will probably take several more to learn half the stuff it can do. I picked the 750 because I have 6 AI primes and an 80-200 zoom from film days all of which are manual focus (no biggie for me) and work fine in manual or Aperture modes. I bought the 750 with the 24-120 f4 ED VR kit lens and have added a 70-300 D ED zoom. Are all your lenses DX?

Jim,

Welcome to UHH. I am a Nikon guy also. My tip is give yourself an assignment of a subject that you like to photograph and create some images and move on to a new assignment. I stay away from the political comments.
