Sunburst

I took this shot last January when I was bored. The Composer Pro with the Double Glass Optic was used with the Sunburst creative aperture.

I have no idea why it turned out like this. I suspect that I accidentally moved the camera as I was pressing the shutter. Whatever I did, I find the result rather interesting. The plants are several different succulents planted in the same pot in a friend's office. I can recognize a Jade Plant on the left half.

Cathy, I've never used the creative apertures, but it always amazes me what you might create and have no clue how it happened!! That's why I love anything Lensbaby, it's always a surprise when you look on your computer... some good, some not so, but always fun!!
Lovely colors!

Yep! It's colorful! lol! That's one of the things I love about our Lensbabies. We just know always know what we're getting. I though about deleting this picture and the others that were in that same file, then had a second thought about this one, how interesting the shapes and colors are. It would be interesting to see what would happen to it if I used Topaz Glow on it... Hmmmm.....

eta: I just tried Glow on it. Forget it! Adding effects on effects in this case just doesn't work.

A more subtle effect might work, like Texture Effects or Impressions.... or even Simplify might give it more of a water painting look, which it amost has! So many options!!!!!

I don't have Impressions yet. It's on my list for when it comes on sale again.

I have Texture Effects, but haven't learned how to use it real well. I know Topaz has how to videos on their software. I should get with it and watch some!

It's bascially the same as all their plug ins.... they have all the presets on the side and then you can use the sliders to adjust, but watching the videos is the way to go to get inspired!!

Love this shot, Cathy! The unexpected camera movement gave such a cool effect with all of that glow. I agree with Angela that we never know what we're going to get until we upload them to our computer. That's what makes the Lensbabies so much fun. So many possibilities with all of those toys. Thanks for sharing another great experiment!

Thanks, Cathy! I missed all of my Hog friends, and I had a wonderful visit with my sister in Florida!
