These are just as beautiful the second time around, Angela. The hibiscus buds are so pretty, and gives a glimpse of what's to come. I still love the great pop of blue in the second shot, and your coneflower is so soft and dreamy, but you can still see the pretty details of the petals. All very nicely done!

Thanks again and again, Jane, for your wonderful compliment.... I'm glad you enjoyed, but I don't think we're getting any lensbaby converts on this site, I hope you checked out the wonderful shots on Flickr, very inspiring!!

Very nice work Angela. Don't tempt me with another lens. I already want the Velvet 85. It is okay that we don't have more takers with this section. We are learning from each other and enjoying beautiful photography as I just did with your post. Wish others would but that is okay. Different strokes.

Thanks Sandy for your lovely comment and glad you enjoyed!! The plastic optic is not really expensive, if you can find one on ebay and for me my next and last is the Velvet 56... hoping Santa brings it to me!!
Different strokes is exactly right... and there's nothing that can be done, I know we love it!!

I did check out Flickr and signed up too. I haven't posted yet but will try to do that when I get back from Florida. There sure are some awesome Lensbaby sections!

Absolutely stunning, Angela! They just demonstrate the versatility of the plastic optic.

I agree with Sandy about the small number of us Lensbaby fanatics. With it being just us, we can talk about the subject as well as share pictures, good, bad and indifferent, so that we can learn what not to do as well as what to do, and how to do it! For instance, I really hadn't thought about using a macro lens on the plastic optic. Now I am! lol! Your beautiful pictures sure are an incentive!

Sandy, plastic optics are fairly cheap on eBay. Here's one:

Thanks so much Cathy, for your lovely comments, glad you enjoyed these and I'm happy that I inspired you to use the macro lenses.... I love getting up close and personal and these really do the trick!! So go out, have fun and share your close up images!!!
I feel funny posting in both sections, but if we want our images to be seen by more, we have to since this section is small, but I agree with you about us sharing together and inspiring each other!!! I still can't wait to get my hands on the Velvet 56!!!

The challenge is a big part of the fun and the delete button does get a workout!! Yesterday I went to the arboretum with only my Lensbabies to shoot dahlias. Out of close to 200 shots, I deleted more than half!! It was so hot and the sun was bright, they came out horrible. I went with a friend that just bought the Sweet 50 and Twist, so she wanted to christen them there... some of her's came out great... mine I had to do a lot of processing :-( I have more luck just staying in my own backyard!!
