Cool shots. They look like spider or wasps larvae. They make these and lay the eggs in them. You can see the ones that have hatched, the tops are cut off.

Actually, I believe these to be predatory wasp cocoons.
Several days ago, the grubs emerged from their host, spun these cocoons to pupate, and some adults have recently eclosed.
i found some a while back,but but they were empty.tom
