The big concern is freedom of speech we have already lost our privacy.
But I feel your frustration.

Leaving aside the merits of your claim that our government is controlled by any foreign power:

1. Putting Israel and Russia in the same category is ridiculous.

2. Kindly cite a single example of Israel's government controlling ours.

Well if this article is true u have an example. I know the statement wasn't directed towards me. That takes a lot of gall putting restrictions on our freedoms granted by the US Constitution

they are in different categories of foreign powers controlling US interests...

as my singular example, I would like to cite our Middle East policy from 1948 to present.

Nonsense. The bill does not restrict speech of any kind. It would prohibit two specific business practices:

1. Making a boycott of Israel a condition of doing business, and;
2. Doing business with countries engaged in a boycott of Israel.

Do you think our government doesn't have the right to regular international commerce? If not, you think a private company should be able to sell arms to Iran or Syria.

I've met personally with both my Senators in their D.C. offices to voice my support for S.720. Both, one from each party, said they do support it. Sounds like nonpartisan agreement to me.

Maybe someday I'll understand how the left can oppose the only open, liberal democracy in the Middle East. Aren't you in favor of women's rights, gay rights, minority rights, etc? In the Middle East, they exist only in Israel. Gays have served in the IDF for many, many years. It's a nonissue. Arabs are part of the government and can practice any profession they wish--Arab citizens of Israel equal rights. Why do you h**e this wonderfully Western style democratic nation?

I suggest you learn the real history before you rant about occupations or settlements.

Nonsense. The bill does not restrict speech of any... (show quote)

"But now, a group of 43 senators — 29 Republicans and 14 Democrats — wants to implement a law that would make it a felony for Americans to support the international boycott against Israel, which was launched in protest of that country’s decades-old occupation of Palestine. The two primary sponsors of the bill are Democrat Ben Cardin of Maryland and Republican Rob Portman of Ohio. Perhaps the most shocking aspect is the punishment: Anyone guilty of violating the prohibitions will face a minimum civil penalty of $250,000 and a maximum criminal penalty of $1 million and 20 years in prison."

So if this bill passes what happens if I have a bumper sticker that says I support the boycott of Israel.
Do I get cuffed and hauled off to jail?
U really don't want to bring up history, also as a follower of Jesus Christ I firmly believe that Israel uses the Bible to control
our foreign policy where it concerns them.
I'm not the gullible one sir.

Fine. I reject your example. It's silly and not specific in the slightest way. Unworthy of further consideration.

You don't have to tell me about AIPAC. I'm at Policy Conference every year. Do you know what that means, Mr. Soba? It means I know more about this issue than you do.

You are not gullible. You are un- and misinformed. And if you honestly believe what you said about a bumper sticker because of the way an article is worded, it shows you've not read the bill (yes I have, before you ask), and suggests you are less intelligent than I thought. I thought you were intelligent but disagreed with me. If you think S.720 regulates AGREEMENT with an anti-Israel boycott, then you are foolish. Get real.

If someone wants to support a boycott they have every right to do so.
I don't care who the boycott is against. This bill is bollocks, and no matter how you word it. It is an infringement
on personal freedom. I have learned over time when a person begins to insult another in a debate, they usually
don't have a leg to stand on.
