Welcome to For Your Consideration (FYC) where we have honest, respectful conversations about the art of photography. We are primarily interested in the creative, aesthetic aspects of capturing and editing images, but like all good artists we are also interested in the technical aspects of the tools of our craft. Managed by ebrunner, R.G., Frank2013 and Jim-Pops.
Think of FYC as a place where you can ask most anything, answer most anything, give and receive feedback, share opinions and tips - and hopefully grow with each other.

GUIDELINES.
Rather than provide a list of section rules, we simply ask that participants respect others' opinions and preferences, whether you agree with them or not. And treat other members as you would like to be treated yourself.
One of the things that differentiates this subsection from the Photo Gallery is that the Gallery is primarily about sharing, whereas this subsection is as much to do with feedback as it is with sharing. That being the case, if you post images in this subsection, expect to be given feedback (in the form of critique and possibly suggestions) which you will hopefully receive graciously.
Please remember that negative criticism will have a constructive effect only if it doesn't trigger a defensive reaction. Having faults pointed out to us is something that most of us have the potential to get touchy about, especially when it involves the results of our hard work and creative expression. And please remember that beginners are often in need of reassurance and encouragement as much as they are in need of correction and guidance.
FYC is open to people at all skill levels (including beginners), so we would like participants to refrain from making insensitive or excessively negative comments about the section’s members or their contributions. We also regard attacks on this section and personal attacks on section members as being unacceptable. Initiating or participating in such attacks here or in another section will be viewed as being contrary to this section's guidelines.
It is accepted forum-wide that one must not edit (alter in any way) another person's image without explicit permission to do so. A request for permission often results in permission being granted. Many forum members include such permissions in the signature area under their posts.
