It's an assasin bug called a "Wheel Bug" It eats other bugs. It's beneficial but packs an excruciating bite. Said to be more painful than a gunshot wound. but not as bad as pesticide is.

When I took the shot yesterday I could see him looking up at me. Kind of gave me the creeps.

This could be featured in one of those Japanese science fiction movies that were popular back in the 1950s - like Rodan.

If I may, he means better that an insect predator kill and eat other insects rather than wiping them out with insecticides.

I was trying to convey that. even though the bug is "ugly" and can bite. he is still a better option than using pesticides and should be left alone.
