These was taken last summer using the 3G lens which is at about 50mm and uses aperture disks. The great thing about it is that it bends and stays in that position by three screws that hold it in position.
Gorgeous shots, Cathy! I love the vibrant colors and pretty details. I don't think I've ever heard of the 3G, and it looks like an oldie but a goodie. I'm starting to think you have just about every Lensbaby there is, and I love these demos. Keep 'em coming!

Sis, fantastic. Love the colors and composition.

Wonderful captures, Cathy... love the effect you've achieved on these flowers and to be honest, I've never heard of the 3G... but I see you have and used it well!!

Enjoyed these CathyAnn. Whenever I check out this section, I want to grab my camera and go. So many possibilities. What was the light situation of #1? Looks like mid day and that is hard to shoot. You have bright light but managed no blowouts. What is your favorite Lensbaby? You probably mentioned and I am not remembering.

Thank you, Jane, for the wonderful comment! The 3G is an oldie, but is fun like the others.
Over the past year/year and a half, I've been slowly collecting Lensbaby lenses and optics, but I don't have them all. They can be found on eBay, new and used, at really low prices. I just have to be patient and look through the whole list. If what I'm interested in isn't there or is being sold at a price higher than I'm willing to pay, I'll look again later. Eventually, I'll find what I want at the right price. (I've also found good deals at Amazon.)
I already have the 0.6X wide angle/1.6X Telephoto set, but here's an example. A couple of days ago, I found the 0.6X wide angle/1.6X Telephoto set on sale for $9.95 with free shipping! (Somebody must have really wanted to unload them; not everyone is crazy about Lensbabies like we are.) Too bad I already have them. Going on down the list, that set was also for sale for over $50, and most in the $25-$35 range - can't remember the exact amounts.
The thing I like about eBay is that sellers have to be truthful about the condition of the item. I've noticed that eBay is a stickler for that. So, I know that if something isn't in the condition represented, I can return the item, and that seller is deep "you-know-what!"

Thank you so much, Angela, for the wonderful comment and thumb!
I think the 3G is the third lens that Lensbaby manufactured. Wikipedia has a short explanation of the history of Lensbaby that's interesting for those of us who love these lenses and optics.
https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Lens_baby The 3G is fiddly, but fun.
In reading through the Wikipedia description of Lensbabies, it has an error concerning the fisheye optic. It does not take swappable aperture discs.

Cathy, that's really an excellent reference... Jane should figure out how to add that to the section, just like Donna added Flower Photography Tips on closeups. Hopefully people will see it and get inspired like the small handful of us are and that are very addicted!!
I'm going to bookmark that info so I can refer to it when needed!!

I'm glad you enjoyed them, Sandy! That first one was probably taken in late afternoon/early evening. It was last summer, so I'm guessing around 5 - 6 pm when the sun is still fairly high.
I really love them all, but tend to gravitate to using the Scout with the soft focus optic, although I haven't used the soft focus yet this season.

I check eBay too, every day. I also check KEH, Adorama and even Lensbaby for used or refurbished items. I've hit on some good bargains that way.
