I've had my a6000 for about 2 months. Purchased the Tamron 18-200mm lens to be my walk around lens and very happy with it. Compared it to the Sony 18-200, and to me it had more + than -. Here are a few pic from Banff and Jasper NP and a fireworks display.

Beautiful!!! Did you need an adapter for your lens, or does Tamron make lenses for the a6000?

Tamron makes the lens for the emount cameras. I have an adapter for all my Canon lenses and it works great. The only one that will not fit the adapter is my canon 18-135mm. I started comparing the Sony 18-200 to the Tamron 18-200 and the size, cost, non-creeping of the lens made me choose the Tamron. As far as picture quality, they were the same. I'm very happy with the Tamron.

Wow! Thanks for those. I have the same combo. I compared images taken with the Tamron and the Sony 55-210mm, and the only difference I could see was more W/A from the Tamron. The Sony 55-210mm will go on ebay. I got the Tamron from KEH for $499.

When you get some free time could you elaborate on the +'s and -'s of the two lenses. I have been toying with advancing from the Sony 55-210.

For me, the + was having wide angle (18mm) available. Comparing identical images taken with each lens showed me no differences I could detect. If both lenses spent a week being tested in a lab, I'm sure they'd find differences. There was also a difference in price. The Sony 55-210 from ebay cost $185, while the Tamron 18-200mm (KEH) was $499.
