These were shot with the Velvet 56 at smaller apertures. I like these, but I find that I prefer the larger apertures with more blur. To each his own I guess!

Beautiful from every angle, Jane. That's one of the many nice features of Lensbabies. You can choose how much
of the LB effect you want or don't want with a change of aperture.

Stunning images, Jane and I do like the subtle effect you achieved with this lens... I enjoyed them all, but I do prefer the last one, because of the different perspective and the softer colors around the detailed stamen!! Keep shootin' and having fun!!!

Thanks, Angela! I'm so in love with this lens, and I hope Santa brings you one. I prefer the last shot, too because of the colors. Next time I'm at Longwood Gardens I'm going to reshoot these with a larger aperture, and compare the differences. This lens is such fun!

I know I've been ignoring my other Babies, but I'm loving the Velvet so much and just need to get it out of my system!

Jane, excellent series and this series is why I am holding out for a Velvet.

No.3 is my favorite. Composition is so nice and all the blurry background. Liked very much!

The hibiscus is one of my favorite flowers to shoot. They're so beautiful from all angles. Thanks for taking a look, Merry!
