Oh goody!! Thank you so much for starting this venture, Jane! Now we can all post in peace...hopefully! This one was taken back in Feb with Composer Pro and Sweet 35. It was to be a 'bend that lens' demo, but I found out that everybody already knew how to bend the lens. lol Please try the DL.

Gorgeous image, Donna and love the color and dreamy background!!
I'm, thrilled that there is now a lensbaby section, I just hope people visit and enjoy the beautiful effects that are created by these lenses... and a big thanks to Jane for getting it off and running!!
I know about the bend with this lens, but have never had any luck with it, so I just shoot straight! lol..

Gorgeous, Donna, and thanks for posting in our new section! What a beautiful magnolia (I hope that's right), and I love how you've bent the lens. Don't be afraid to do a demo on bending, since not all of us have tried it yet, me included. There was someone I spoke with through a message about the new section who had questions about it too. Right now I can remember who. This brain!
Again, thanks for posting and don't be afraid to teach us old dog some new tricks!

Thank you so much for your lovely comment, Jane, and thank you again for taking on this forum. One of the many things I like about it is that we can also submit Lensbaby images that are not necessarily closeup, so the sky is the limit here. It gives me a reason to use my Lensbabies more for landscapes, seascapes, etc. About bending the lens.. it's easy, and if I can do it, everybody can! I'll post a 'lesson' on lens bending soon.

Thanks so much, Greg, and I'm delighted to learn that you've signed up for this new forum! If you don't want to wait for the new lens, you might like to check with Cathy (your sis ) on her finding older model Lensbaby products on ebay. I was sorry Lensbaby discontinued those, because they're so much fun to use and are much less in price.

Donna, I went out today to the local shops and looked for a Velvet 56, no luck. Found a whole lot of the "standard" style of lens but I would prefer one where I can easily change the f-stop. The new velvet 85 looks like the ticket for me, but I will do more research and may go back and buy a kit I found at one shop. Anyhow, I will keep looking and reading.

Greg, the first one I bought was the Composer Pro with the Sweet 35 optic, and it's still one of my favorites. You change the aperture with the Sweet 35 as you would with the Velvet 56. It has no disks that you have to insert.

Thanks for the knowledge, Donna. I will go back next week and look at the kit again.
