Democrats Upset With Obama's Travel Plans

This from the Conservative Times:

"According to reports, the democratic base that practically worships Obama is less than thrilled with his latest antics. After leaving office, he and his family have embarked on an decadent round of billionaire luxury retreats in an orgy of spending.

Of course, he still has time in between jet setting attempts to tweet disparaging comments about current President Trump. However, the endless vacation is bothering some of his most religious disciples. Travel experts say that the level of extravagance is unprecedented for a former president.

However, this is Barack Hussein, the leader who spent exaggerated amounts of taxpayer money fulfilling his inferiority complex with family retreats, while he was in office. Why would it be any different now?

Judicial Watch, the independent organization that tracks government corruption, has cataloged the previous president’s penchant for travel. His 2013 vacations cost over $7 million for that year alone. The total price for repeated trips to Hawaii, China, Europe, and other places around the world while he was in office amounted to just over $70 million. That number is all that can be tracked through the Freedom of Information Act. It doesn’t include security.

Since leaving office, Obama has visited Marlon Brando’s private island and Sir Richard Branson’s Necker Island, the Four Seasons in Bali, and a Palm Springs estate. The former president has also stayed at the Mid Pacific Country Club in Oahu, a 13th century village in Tuscany, and on David Geffen’s private yacht.

Necker Island has a price tag of $80,000 per night. The Tuscany location isn’t even a hotel. It’s a restored medieval settlement that can only be booked in its entirety. When he arrived, his private jet was escorted by six fighters from the Italian Air force. Fortunately, the exclusive Borgo Finocchieto is owned by one of Obama’s previous appointees. The former Ambassador to Italy, John Phillips, possesses the outrageously priced hamlet.

Democratic strategist Pat Caddell was a former adviser to ex-President Jimmy Carter. She thinks that the extravagance is wholly unique, and extremely different from the way Carter spent his first few months out of office. “These trips are like the lifestyles of the rich and famous,” she said.

The “basement dwellers” who supported Bernie’s socialist utopia fantasy may also feel conflicted when they try to defend Obama’s obscene spending for his own pleasure. L*****ts reported that the vacations are just another example of Obama’s attempt to join the richest people on the planet.

Dr. David Michael Smith of the Houston Socialist Movement explained his feelings, “Obama is not as wealthy or as conservative as Trump, George W. Bush, or George H.W. Bush, but he enjoys what used to be called ‘the lifestyle of the rich and famous.’ I am not surprised by Obama’s several recent foreign vacations. As president, he disappointed millions of supporters who hoped he would be a strong advocate for working-class people.”

The noted liberal HBO host John Oliver expressed his disgust over the former president’s behavior back in February. “I’m a little s**k of seeing photos of President Obama on vacation with Richard Branson. Just tone it down with the kite-surfing pictures. I’m glad he’s having a nice time – America is on fire.”

That was before he really started enjoying the good life. Defenders say that since Obama worked his entire life (wait, what?) to “level the playing field and provide ladders of opportunity for those hardest hit by the economy,” he should be able to squander more money than many American family’s make in a year, on one night of luxury.

However, most of his long-time supporters are fed up. Caddell said, “I think every time Obama opens his mouth, the fair question is: Which billionaire’s paradise island did he do it from? When is he going to do anything to help people other than enrich himself?”

Unlike president Bush who spent the first year after his presidency writing “Decision Points,” Obama seems bent on enjoying himself for the rest of his life.

His current trip to Bali will end up in his hometown of Jakarta.

Obama’s time off has included taking pit stop in Guam, h*****g out with liberal celebrities on Oprah Winfrey’s yacht, and working on books while waiting for the runway to clear.

The surprising thing is, his behavior now is no different from his hypocrisy in the White House. The only difference now is that his insincerity is more blatantly obvious. For most American’s, if he stays overseas forever that will be just fine."

Personally, since Barry strip mined the United States for the last 8 years, I hope he just stays gone forever. Maybe he can return to his land of Kenya and stay there living in a grass hut.

Actually, most of us Dems aren't particularly focused on what the ex-president does. And after all the BS and obstructionism that Obama took from the r****ts in this country who couldn't stand the fact that a black man far more intelligent than they are was their president, most of us are GLAD that Obama is having fun!

Obviously, the Conservative Times is full of s**t. We're loving it that he's enjoying himself and that Trump can't stand it.
Makes my frigg'n day.

I'm happy Obama is visiting friends and having a good time, I'm sure seeing Trump in office is very depressing to him. I don't know where you read or heard your information but all the Dems I talk to are happy for him. He took a lot of abuse in office and I'm sure all past presidents are hurt seeing the office so disrespected as it is with the current president. Trump has an obsession with Obama and wants to destroy everything he did, in his zealousness to do so, he's destroying himself.

By destroying everything Obama did, Trump will be guaranteed re-e******n.

I am sorry for you to go through life so angry. You need to find things you enjoy - things that bring you feelings of reward or fulfillment. In the past more Americans had hobbies and participated in community organizations like Churches, the Rotary, etc. Now people are frustrated, angry, and feel powerless. So sad.

Pretty hefty spending. Cool vacations. I'm not one to whine about outcome ine******y.....without exception, that outcome (and income) comes from something I'm unwilling to do or sacrifice.

What I wonder is, given Obama's supposed passion for giving to the lower and middle class, how much has he given to them? He can certainly afford it.

Only on what he did while he was President....not where he went on vacation after he left office.
