Nice. I do have a question. Why are all your subjects surrounded by a white background?

Many of the bugs I find and photograph are located on an outside wall of my house, and it's painted off-white. By the time I hit it with a flash, it appears pure white. ;)

I also shoot a few in my studio, and the white background seems to give the best detail. Still, I try to shoot most bugs where I find them.

I think these have got to be one of my favorite spiders. Just noticed on the the first shot what looks like eyelids coming up from the bottom of his eye. Do these guys have eye lids? Nice shots.
