Metepeira labyrinthea (I think)

The genus Metepeira is one of the orb weaver groups. This one is probably Metepeira labyrinthea. They usually sit beneath a leafy (sometimes silk) canopy, waiting for prey to enter their web. The web is interesting in that there is an an irregular silk section where the retreat is located and the traditional orb portion, typical for the family, positioned below.

That is the color of the spider's fangs. Enlarge image #5 to see different view of same area.
