Took a while to figure to what you were referring.
Everyone I know calls them tele-converters...

I can only tell you that the Nikon TC's will not mount to that lens.

If the lens is f/5-6.3 even a 1.4x teleconverter will prevent the camera's AF from working reliably and the finder image will be quite a bit dimmer. And, i believe the lens is 150-600.

Sigma makes a teleconverter specifically for that lens. This one is for the Nikon but they make them for the Canon as well.

AHA!!! (You're going to love this, Henryp.)

Henry is right, Sigma makes Nikon mount TC's but any TC on that lens will make it manual focus only.

Sigma did make the 150-500 several years before the 150-600. It is still available used from B & H as well as other fine retailers.

TC is a common acronym for teleconverters. You'll see it here and on other sites quite often. You just haven't run into yet. I did a simple Google search for "lens tc" and the results speak for themselves. Thousands of hits.

Interesting. I've never heard that used before in over 45 years of photography. We always called them tele-converters. I guess no one wants to use the long version anymore.

That camera won't adapt to a Nikon TC, and if you find a TC that will work, you won't be able to use autofocus.

Can you use a TC with a PC on a DX in AP, shooting in DS without an ND or a CP?

With that camera, auto focus is not possible with a teleconverter. You would need to step up in Nikon so you could have auto focus to F8.

Maximize the image quality that you have with the native lens and CROP - and if necessary, apply pixel enlargement .
