Just playing around with the Lensbaby Velvet 56. This lens doesn't talk to my camera, and I don't remember the settings. I know the aperture was opened up .. around F/1.6-F/2.8. This lens is sharp when stopped down, but when it's opened up it lends a rather dreamy glow. Taken before sunset.
Beautiful soft, dreamy shot. Love the details and textures, especially in the download.

An interesting image in which the essence of the best-focused object is "soft" and beyond the DOF even more softness reigns. If the "dreamy glow" was, in fact, your aim, I'd say you accomplished it.
The one immediately distracting factor to my eye is that the "protagonist soft cat-tail" has its top cut off.
In spite of the subject being placed on the right vertical of the thirds, composition seems based on the pattern of repeating verticals... which I happen to like, but many find less-than-inspired.
