A fast moving subject Linda, I think you did a magnificent job considering you were sorting out new equipment. That appears to be a turbo engine with a geared prop, a difficult subject for prop blur. Good job.

Thank you, Phil. Learning a lot from you folks about shooting airplanes!

If I could get that sharp from even my stationary shots I'd be happy.

Thank you, Pam! And the Panasonic DMC-G7 That one is shaped similarly to my sx50, though has much more awesome viewfinder and other goodies.

The Oly is more rectangular (small) and has silver "retro" knobs. I'm smitten with both!

I have the G7 as you know.....called on the repair for the om 10 and they still hadn't gotten to it.....I wasn't a happy camper.....I've not even seen the OM10 mark ll yet but they ARE nice cameras.
I think I've just acquired a used Canon SX50 from KEH.....hope it works out well....maybe I'll sell them my SX40!

Anyway....I'm glad you like your new equipment......you know how to capture great shots!~

I was thinking the OM 10 Mark II was an older camera (on sale right now). At this point I'm a bit confused, though Hope you have fun with the sx50!

It's a long boring story, but besides the Panasonic with 14-140 mm, I now also have an Olympus OM-D E-M10 Mark II M4/3 with Olympus M.Zuiko 75-300mm

This combo will be for more distant and moving subjects and the crop duster gave me quite the workout! These are definitely not as sharp as the non-moving dandelion close-up I used as test yesterday

Shutter priority at 1/1000 sec, auto-ISO, edits from raw.

Thanks for viewing!
It's a long boring story, but besides the Panasoni... (show quote)

Not only was it a great workout...but yielded great action shots Linda!!

Linda:

They look awfully good to me. Maybe a bit of exposure PP would help. As a OMD Em-10 devotee, I have to defend the camera.

I enjoyed these very much, Linda, especially the last two. They really show how low those guys fly! I'll bet that pilot would love to have copies of those pictures!
