I have been privileged to be a part of this event for 18 years. It is a re-enactment of women and girls, all Girl Scouts. We become Spanish Colonial living historians for the weekend at the historic Fountain of Youth. I am also their photographer. I thought you might want to see some of what we do.
Playing farkle, shut the box, and la barca at the taberna. ( tavern)

Thanks, our motto is " Learning from the past to enhance the future." The girls gain so much by experiencing this camp.

Very cool Roxie😎
Thank you for your kind comment. We think so. The girls are very privileged to live near the oldest city in America, and be able to experience this. They have to go through an audition, training weekend, then have several weeks to study their information packets, and make their period correct outfits. We have a public day where troops, families, and tourists come to see us. I tell the girls they are a tourist attraction. They get a taste of life without all of today's technology and comforts.

Thanks Annie! We always have a great event, especially when the weather cooperates. Alot of hard work, but so worth it.
Excellent series to go along with the story. This sounds like a wonderful weekend for the girls and their leaders.
Beautiful set, roxiemarty!
