Does anyone else on here see this going on? Seller posts an item for sale and then nothing. Zilch, Zero, Nano! It's like they are playing with you. Give it up sellers; you post on here, hang around and answer the questions potential buyers are asking. DUH!

I said the same thing about a month or so ago and got blasted. Then a big argument that deteriorated into a name calling contest

Clear indication it was a scammer to begin with.
We get a lot of first time posters here selling gear, occasionally it's an honest person, but the majority of them are just wanna be crooks.

Same thieves that post phoney ads on Craigslist, we seem to attract at least one a month here. Sad these crooks cannot find a legitimate job. Oh yeah, why work when you can be an Internet scammed so easily?

What item(s) are you specifically posting about? Are you sure it hasn't already been sold? I've posted items for sale recently and sometimes the topic may appear dormant while conversations are in progress directly (email) between buyer and seller. When those conversations reach a conclusion (check received/item received), I make a point of editing the topic and making it clear both in the title and in the text that a sale has taken place. Also since many members (including me) are elderly, there is a very real possibility that one party or the other may be temporarily ill. Let's not assume the worst until we know it to be the case.

I saw a new guy post ads for a Canon 5D Mark IV and 5D Mark III at ridiculous prices. Many people were piling on suggesting it was not legit. Next thing I know, both those posts are "poof" gone. I guess the admin figured it out too.

One was a Canon 7D Mark ii and the other a 7D. Both were posted on the 22nd and I responded. Nothing since! You would think that when one posts an item for sale, one would at least monitor at least once a day.
Not calling anyone names, etc., just answer the questions for the sale. That's all! Otherwise, don't post! Oh, the one with the 7D Mark ii was a low ball for sure, but you never know.

Thank you! I PM'ed both the day the ads were posted, so this is why I posed the question about monitoring the sale of an item. I have bought and sold on here, fredmiranda.com and nikonians.org and have not had that problem there. Guess they think we are easier prey! lol
