I have a trip to Europe coming up and was wondering if anyone could recommend an Android app that identifies good locations to photograph based on your current GPS location. Of course, this wouldn't have to be limited to Europe - an app like this would be great for all locations!

Thanks in advance for your help!

Yep...Its called Google Earth. Lots of people upload their shots of their home town or favourite spot. (they only show when you zoom in to the point where street names show)

I also recommend checking out conservation groups in the areas you are visiting. Tourist Information will tell you prices and opening hours of landmarks, parks, etc.

Have fun

Don't know if it's still viable, but a few years ago, Trey Ratliff started a system named 'Stuck On Earth' that attempted to satisfy this need.

You might try ShotHotspot. Here's the link: http://www.shothotspot.com. I am a Mac guy and have it on my computer and iPhone as well. I believe it has locations that user submit from all over the world. I've used it in the US with good results. Enjoy Europe. With or without an app there will many great locations for quality photos.
