Trump could have sought congressional approval, as did Obama in 2013. Congress failed to act; a deal with Russia was brokered. Despite this Obama was excoriated then and now. FDR got a declaration of war on Monday December 8 just after the attack on Pearl Harbor on December 7. Now Trump is seeking retroactive congressional approval. Better to ask forgiveness than permission? Or is he resurrecting the Gulf of Tonkin "doctrine?"

Skyboy, You truly are that dumb. The U.S. told them that missiles were on the way and given 90 minutes to do something, but we didn't tell them whether they should leave or shelter in place.

In the end there were no Russians there at the moment of impact.

What was YOUR point? "Coincidence"? The target was Syrian assets, not Russians. They were intentionally given a fair warning. What they chose to do with that warning was on them. Is that supposed to be a problem?
