JOBO ATL2+ Automated film/print processor

I received this as part of a package deal with a large format camera. Turn it on and it blows the 5 volt fuse immediately. I don't have the time to work on it and have picked up a CPE2 in the meantime.

$200.00 or best offer. Would prefer pick up in West Michigan (I really don't want to package this for shipping. Not to mention it would be expensive.)

Open to trades.

A great processor, I owned one in the film days and developed all my own film, color and BW, for my wedding business and relied on it for sheet film processing with zone system. A very reliable machine when working correctly. Automatically saved chemicals for replenishment too, and easy to program. Some one with basic electronic skills will get a super bargain! This machine was manufactured before the micro circuits of today, so it should be quite repairable? Good Luck with your sale!

5 volt fuse immediately.... amps are the deal with fuses not volts... try a larger amp fuse.... it will work or follow the smoke and find the culprit part. Had a microwave that way larger fuse cured it for years, then I moved.

Well, the 0.6 amp fuse protects the 5 volt circuit. I'm a service tech on automated storage/retrieval systems. I'm familiar with the difference between amperage and voltage.

Blindly telling someone to use a larger fuse without knowing the current requirements of the machine is beyond irresponsible and extremely dangerous. You could be responsible for burning his house down. Good thing he knows what he's doing; you sir, are dangerous and should not be giving advise out when you couldn't find your own butt with a GPS unit.

It seems this group needs some Darwin awards, to pass out to naturally selected members, or their surviving kin?

While I appreciate everyone's suggestions as to what the problem might be, because it keeps it near the top of the list -:). As I stated in my original post: I have an operating CPE2. I really just want to pass this along to someone that may be able to: 1) make it operational or 2) use it for parts.

As I stated earlier, the fuse that blows (technically, it "opens") is for the 5 volt control circuit. The heater element is an entirely different circuit, I've studied the schematics. I just don't have the time to devote to this, and my wife wants it "GONE" (her words :) ).

Anyone want to buy a JOBO 3063 20x24 print drum? It works great on a roller stand, and nobody can tell me what it takes to troubleshoot the problem when all I want to do is sell. JOBO-USA (Cat Labs) is asking $363.00 for theirs, I'll let it go for $300 with an extra drum lid. Plus shipping.
