... in the morning light.

I have no idea what is this called. It is very small and was under a tree.
The back light was tempting. Here is the result

The lighting is very attractive on this wildflower. I believe it is Spiderwort. Well taken.

Beautiful flower, sundar. The download is a must on this one, great detail and background, and the lighting is gorgeous.

Thank you, Carol ! You are right. It is Spiderwort. I just Googled Spiderwort and the images I saw very much looks like the flower I saw in the photo.
Learned something new today. Thanks again !

I like it that you didn't clone out the spider web! A really fine shot!

I'm also clueless to this pretty flower, but I love the shot, Sundar... and the backlighting is a definite bonus!!

Thank you Bob !

I think I should tell you a secret. My PP skills are next to nothing.
I use only Picasa ( for level adjustments to resize/crop ) and Picasa does not do cloning or any stuff like that.
Most of the time I try to get it right in the shot itself. Perhaps a habit that got carried over from the film days.
With digital of course one has the luxury of shooting more frames and and see the results immediately.

Thank you Angela !

As Carol mentioned above, it is Spiderwort.
Google it and you will get to see some identical images.
