I have an HP Officejet Pro 8000 A809a. It blinks supposedly indicating a paper jam. But there is NO paper WHATSOEVER in the machine. I don't think that it has printed more than 200 sheets but of course it's off warranty. It seems that getting to speak to someone at HP is next to impossible. Is there some special number I need to call? The printer was my mother's who passed away last week and I do her taxes with it. I'm at the point that I'll junk it and never buy an HP again.
Try looking at the website for a Customer Service number or during regular business hours they might even have reps. online to chat with you on the site instead of having to talk over the phone.

I used the video help and it seemed to have solved my original problem. BUT now there seems to be a printhead problem. why didn't it show that before?? I've spent a couple hours on this damn thing. Maybe I should find a nice all round printer from a company like Canon who has GREAT customer service. which is something that is lacking is this world
I dumped my HP pro printer well over £100 to replace the ink carts

In my opinion 'HP Customer Service' is an oxymoron.
I replaced all of my HP stuff because getting help from them is near impossible. If your gear is out of warranty, they try to sell you a service plan. Otherwise - no help.
Perhaps they have improved since my last contact with them, but regardless, I am through with them.
Good luck.
(BTW, Epson customer service is among the very best that I have encountered.)
I gave up on hp years ago because of lousy customer service. I have been very happy with Canon printers and their wonderful customer support.
