I have 2 Canon 50D cameras,,,one i got used about 5 years ago with 500 clicks now has about 10K shutter clicks the other i got used from a seller a year ago that said it was a refurb from Canon it also has about 10K clicks i tend to use this one more ???I have checked and re checked the in camera settings to make sure both are the same..??the refurb seems to produce brighter and more true colors with more detail,,,could have Canon installed a newer 18mp sensor in the refurb,,,or why does it seem better?? Thanks for your imput.Ron

post two examples, one image each from the cameras of the same scene with the same lens taken at the same time or roughly the same time if you have to change the lens between bodies. Store original and don't process the JPEGs unless you need to make them smaller to get under the 20MB (combined) posting limit. Without examples, you'll just get guess after guess after random guess ... If there are differences in the settings, there will be differences in the EXIF within your attached images. A refurb confirms the factory-spec functionality of the camera, not the replacement of a $400 part.

The parts are not plug & play. This idea is quite fanciful. If you're serious in the question about perceived differences, perform the action requested.

Check the "Picture Style" settings and see if one of the cameras is using a different setting from the others. That can make a big difference in the appearance of jpeg shots and even the RAW shots.
