For Sale: New (US) Canon EFS 10-22 f/2.8L

I purchased this lens in January, and have only opened it and taken a couple of shots with it, so it's virtually brand new, with all items (registration card, CD, etc...) still in the box. I sort of jumped in a little quicker than I should have, hence, my selling the lens.

Canon EFS 10-22mm F/3.5-4.5 USM $750.00 or best offer

Item will be shipped insured, with request for signature unless buyer states otherwise.

You might want to correct your title it states the lens is a F/2.8L
The box says F/3.5-4.5 not a L Series

You need to change your description above it states its a L series and a F/2.8
If you purchases for $799.00 why are you selling it for $900.00?

There is in fact a EF S 10-22 f3.5-4.5 USM lens in Canon's line up. It was released in November 2004. I do not see any EF-S lenses in the L or Luxury category. This is the only lens found with the 10-22 focal length.

Always a possibility - - most folks here know that Canon does not make any "L" grade EF-S lenses. Also - this is a NEW member - with only 3 posts - 2 of which are equipment for sale. His pricing on this lens is WAYYYY off base - however his profile seems legit, his #3 post http://www.uglyhedgehog.com/t-43833-1.html appears valid, AND - unlike most scammers - he does list his location. Jury is out on this one.

I sincerely apologize to all members !
This lens is indeed a 10-22mm f/3.5-4.5 USM Canon lens, just as shown on the box.
Again, I apologize for any misunderstanding; no misrepresentation was intended. 'Just no attention to detail on that one.....

But, regarding the price: if I'm way off on that, I did state "or best offer". No offense was meant towards any member, I thought I had priced it a little lower than the best retail I could find; I'll have to double check those prices.
Thank you for your diligence and courtesy.
And a special thank to lovesscrapn; that alerted me to the discrepancy initially.
I will add, that if anyone receives any item from me and it's not 100% as stated and in the condition stated, I will stand on the statement right now on this forum that I will cheerfully refund the money and pay for return shipping. I realize I'm a new member, although I've been a member for some time; I'm just active on a rose forum when I have time to even log on. I should have been on this one more, as my photos are OK, but hardly outstanding.

Understood Merlin1300, and I hardly made a great impression. And of course any reasonable person is going to approach any type of sale with caution, but I don't think I can do much better unless I give the items away :) !!
But believe me Soccershooter, Ebay is the last place I want to take anything. I've worked to keep my rating @ 100% on Ebay, but I've never really gotten any great bargains there, and have been ripped off there, with no consolation prize....

I sincerely apologize to all members ! br This len... (show quote)

I had one of those but sold it because it didn't get used enough to justify keeping it, the glass in that lens is comparable to L quality. It is an EF-S and will only fit on the small sensor DSLR's. There are no lenses in the EF-S line up with the L designation, but that and the 17-55mm f2.8 have better reputations than any other of the EF-S lenses. Although it has a solid build quality it is not as rugged or water proof as are the L lenses, but it is definitely a great lens and really quite sharp. Good Luck selling it, have you tried Craigslist, that lens always seems to be in high demand, the kind of thing that moves quickly on Craigslist. I sold mine in about a week there.
