These little guys are quick. By comparison, catching the Heron in my previous post was almost like taking a nap. You have to be on your toes to catch Chickadees. They're harder than hummers 'cause a hummer will hover but these guys only hesitate slightly when landing.

Thank you Phil. I just needed a little break. I almost forgot this was supposed to be fun.

Wonderful to see you again; almost want to say welcome to the forum but I won't. The only question I have is what are you going to do for an encore; like Erv says this set is OUTSTANDING.

Thanks Erv. Time sure does slip away when we're having fun. Happy New Year Erv!

Thanks tramsey! I didn't realize it but it's been just over two years since I started a thread in uhh. Yikes! "Encore?" I didn't even think about that. There's a lot of room for improvement on these so maybe I'll work on that and get the iso down some and get rid of some of the noise. The light wasn't real good that day. I think I have some fresh hummer shots I could toss in just to tide me over for a spell... Good to see you're still "kickin'."
Happy New Year, tramsey.

Nicely done! They are such happy little friends to have at the feeder, though. Always chatting, never being greedy. Without them winter would be so much more dreary!

Thank you sb. I couldn't agree more. In fact, without them there'd be no birds where I am. I'd miss them a lot.

Excellent captures. I must say I agree. I have only shot them at rest and they don't stay long for that, either.

Thank you kpmac. The group this set is from was my first attempt to shoot them on the fly. It is a challenge for an old man like me, I promise.
