I took this image at the St. Louis Zoo. I was fascinated by the symmetry. Was hoping to get advice on which pic strikes your fancy and how could I improve it.

I think it's a great egret.

The bird is kind of blown out, it's mostly all just bright white with no feather detail. Notice how the detail looks better in the reflection where the exposure is darker?

You likely used an auto setting where the camera metered for the whole scene and over exposed the bird.

That being said, I like both the color and the B&W treatment.
I'm like the color pic because I like the green of the overall setting. But the B&W seems to handle the exposure better.

I HAD NOT NOTICED THIS BUT SURE DO NOW. THANKS.
