This is the typical obama administration. Inept!
The source is untrustworthy, to put it mildly. Even if the story true (unlikely), it's absurd to blame it on Obama.

I agree. The t***h about Obama is bad enough. We don't need to resort to f**e news.

Sadly, Pravda may..."may" be one of the more reliable news sources available to us. U S "news" sources are, by-and-large, nothing more than l*****t propaganda.
Some morons will believe anything. even the internet.
EdU239 is correct. According to the US Naval Institute, the Zumwalt encountered a problem while passing through the Panama Canal (see
https://news.usni.org/2016/11/22/uss-zumwalt-sidelined-panama). Water was discovered leaking into two of the four bearings on induction motor drive shafts, causing them to lock up. This has nothing to do with computer chips.
Separately, China has been found to be flooding the market with bogus (counterfeit) computer chips (see
http://www.defensetech.org/2012/03/28/gao-buys-f**e-submarine-parts-from-china/). This Defense Tech article explains that the GAO ordered chips from China as a test to learn if they were authentic. They were not.
PRAVDA appears to have conflated these two stories into one, as though the Zumwalt problem was caused by faulty chips, which, as EdU239 points out, is nonsense. Pravda is run by the Russian government. This is not the first attempt by Russia to spread false "news" reports to sew dissention among its competitor countries (such as the USA). Don't believe it.

It's a PRAVDA report.
It may be from Pravda, however it is widely known that this ship has been plagued with problems even during the building process. Several problems have arisen since it has been launched.
Notice that I said, "Say it isn't so." I appreciate the information provided by G. Manos. Merely flipping out the comments by the rest of you was not helpful. Grow up people.

You would do well to follow your own advice.
Can't you read? I asked for information. Only one person responded. Not good. Now you.

I guess you wrote your request for information in invisible ink. Went back and checked. No such request.
