Domke F3X camera bag.

I have added to my repertoire of equipment to a 7DII w/ grip + 100 2.8L macro + 24-70 2.8L II + 100-400 L II. It is possible that I might add a FF camera in the future. I was wondering if the above bag would be a good choice or might there be another I might consider. I don't do a lot of long hikes so I'm not sure a back pack bag would be what I need. Maybe I'm wrong. Convince me. Thanks.

The Domke bag seems moderately pricey at $130, tho I believe they have a good rep. You might want to look into other bags, including the Tenba and Tamrac lines as well as the generic bags from Amazon.

For long hikes, I use the Mindshift Panorama 180

Quick access to your camera is essential, and a backpack will distribute the weight better than a traditional camera bag.

Mindshift bags are top notch...also love anything from think tank. The domke bags are nice, but I wouldn't want a full frame setup in one.

I have different size bags to hold different amounts of gear. You want to take what you need but no more. The weight adds up quickly, so for a lot of gear get a bag that will handle it in a manner that works for you. Only you can decide what is the right bag.

I have a Domke smaller bag like the F4 that has and still serves well after more than 20 years. Absolutely no regrets.
I do use the Canon back pack when walking around and needing both hands completely free and not worry about a shoulder bag sliding around.
Domke makes a superior quality and long lasting product. What you have should work well in the F3X bag.

i've used domke f1 and f2 bags since 1972 and they remain my "go to" bags to this day. tough, durable and bullet proof.
in the field, in conflict situations there are none better.
good luck with your search.
