I looked closely - the eagle has dinner and the vultures want him to share. Do I have it right?

That's a raccoon! I didn't think they were on the menu for eagles. I saw a hawk grab a rabbit one day so I guess an eagle can take down a raccoon.

exactly,so not sure if it was roadkill and he took it from the vultures or it was his kill to begin with.

Thanks Viceroy, I've been up in that area to a few Eagle nests, it's a good area for many bird shots! Oh, and thanks for spelling my name right! LOL. So far, you're the first. ( not that I mind, to everyone else!)

PS...I hear there are a lot of areas up there to get Wood Ducks,,,if you have any tips or know of any places, would greatly appreciate any info. Been trying to get them for a couple of years now....got one barely passible shot!

Wood Ducks are the squeaky ones right? There is a waterway behind where I live where i see them quite often. there is also a large wildlife reserve (Disneys) that has loads of trails and many Photo ops for photohraphers also in Kissimmee.

I've just been watching some videos of them, I guess they are the squeeky ones. They are also very comical and bouncy!

OK that was kind of like the car full of clowns at the circus! i kept wondering when it would end. Its a miracle they dont break a hip or something (lol) Iam pretty sure thats what is back here. If you didnt see them you would think it was another bird because of their chirp.

I know, I could not believe how many were in that tiny little nest, and how they bounce, that was a LONG fall!

Well, if they are behind you, you might have to let me come shoot them, the adults are incredibly gorgeous! The colors are unreal. I just have such a hard time finding them....they are not this far southwest. ;(
