Well I like it. It is beautiful. What I love about HDR is that you keep people guessing "Is it real?" " That place doesn't exist, does it?" I get a kick out of that. Smoky Mountains is smokin! I love it.

Thanks Tracey. I live 4 to 5 hours from there depending on where you're going in the park. My wife and I are going back up on Oct. 20th. Hope to put some fall photos on the forum shortly after.

No way that is brilliant, I honestly thought it was HDR'd b/c of the way the light is captured. Well let me tell you, I think it's awesome. Serious kudos to you my friend and thank you for welcoming me. I'm just a newbie eager to learn as much as I can and if everyone is as talented as you are well I imagine I'll gain a whole hella lot from this forum and the newsletter itself. Question: How did you get the water to look smoky like? Or is that why they call it the smoky mountains, lol?

I shot this with a 3 second shutter speed. That's why the water looks the way it does. It gives it motion.

Eugene, then you must be familiar with...(I'm not sure how to spell this), but Wear Valley? I took my kids for a drive through there many years ago, and thought it was one of the most beautiful, magical places I had ever seen! Just outside of the Smokey Mtn Natl Park. My next fav place was in the park at Cades Cove.

I think Tenn, is one of our most beautiful states!

Yes! Wears Valley Joins Townsend with Pigeon Forge. It is an 11 mile trip. We will be staying in Townsend. This is about 8 miles from Cades Cove. They call Townsend the quiet side of the Smokies because you are away from the people and traffic in Pigeon Forge and Gatlinburg.

Yep! LOVE Wears Valley, HATED Pigeion Forge and Gatlinburg! But that's just me! Way to commercial and crowded. Townsend sounds nice, be sure to take tons of pics!
