The back story behind these pictures is as follows. While waiting for my wife to finish a meeting at the college where she works, I wandered around campus, looking for photographic opportunities. I took a few pictures in an hour, and as I came back to my car, I saw this character, and took 14 pictures in 6 minutes; as I looked at them when we got home, I realized I could string these three {the best of the lot} together like this.

Yeah, probably.
To be honest, around the time I was taking #2, I was concerned that he might be sick, but #3 alleviated my concerns; once when we had a sick cat, our vet said you could judge a cat's health by its grooming - grooming is the first activity it will skip if it's energy levels are low - and I figured the same was probably true for squirrels.
