looking for a nice bridge camera,with a good lens ! don,t need a whooping big zoom,,but would like a nice bright fast lens,,consant 2.8??
I have 4 Canon dslr bodies and some nice glass,,but there are times i just don,t want the LOAD !
had a Panasonic FZ 30 and liked that cam,,but after 5 years and over 35K shutter clicks it was done.
then i got a Canon SX50HS,,worked fine for a couple years but after about 18K it was wore out ?? Then i got the new Panny FZ 300,,hated the menu, sent it back ??
So now I am looking again,,any help on a camera ?? don,t want a monster like the Nikon P900..
Thanks for any imput!
Ron
Check out the Sony's they use a Carl Zeiss lens. I am not talking of any of the Alpha series.
Check out Sony RX10 or RX10ii

Or the Panasonic fz 1000 and the next generation fz 2000.
Well i will look into these,,but i did not add, that i don,t want to blow my budget ??what about the Panny FZ 200 or a refurb Canon SX60 HS,, I would really like imput on the FZ200 as it has the 2.8 consant lens ?? Thanks Ron
I gave my wife a FZ150 shortly before the FZ200 came. It is a wonderful camera. The FZ200 has a little better lens. But, the menu will be like the FZ300 you sent back.
Well here is what i did ! this after noon i found a lightly used FZ 30 for $45.00 ??hope its agood one as ,i liked that camera,,have many pics saved in my files from the other FZ 30

Lots of choices available. When you narrow them down, read some comparisons.
Read comparisons and specs, and decide what features are important to you.

Panasonic Lumix ZS100 - the perfect compromise!
Check out the Sony RX10 3, it is pricy, but an absolutely great camera. It does very well on both scenery and wildlife.
You are already familiar with the SX50, so I would bet you would be very pleased with the SX60.
I have the same question for essentially the same reasons, except I would like zoom :) So far I've tried the Nikon p900, sent it back; then tried Canon G3x, thought the 1" sensor would do the trick. Then these 2 pics:
G3X
Same shot with 70D
Sorry, trouble with editing the post... Both of these shots are crops, but I liked what I was seeing with the water. So I sent the G3X back. Still looking, but about to give up. Trying to stay under 1k. Also would appreciate suggestions :) Are the micro 4/3s sharp enough to get results that aren't so toy-like when compared to dslr?
There are several flat body design "shirt pocket" cameras on the market today - if you want to go super light and have a camera always with you. I would look for models with the EVF, RAW files, moderate zoom with a good wide angle (20-24 mm equivalent).
