Hi all ! my name is Col.
I've been logging onto HOG for a few months now,and have found it very informative, and quite humors e at times. I'm a rank amateur, and all this info is helping me a lot. I have a canon 550 D ,a sigma 50mm 1:1.4 , 150mm 1:2.8 and an 50-500 1:4.6-6.3 APO. ( THE LATER I BELIEVE SHOULD COME WITH IT'S OWN SET OF WHEELS) Yup heavy but a nice lens though.
I hale from Logan. South East Queensland. That's between Brisbane and the Gold Coast. Looking forward to more topics. Col.
Welcome, Col!

Welcome to the "HOG". Lot can be learned here.
Welcome Col., This IS a great site. I've also learned lots and everyone is great about answering questions and makeing suggestions.
Welcome, Col! A lot of good reading/learning here.
My ex was Australian (Adelaide). She noticed that us Yanks place a lot of emphasis on the "R" when we pronounce words. And I told her that the Aussies add Rs to words that don't even have them, like Inder (India) or Cuber (Cuba). She didn't mention the R thing after that. Also interesting how you folks pronounce alumimum and asphalt. At first I had no idea of what in the heck she was saying! You folks may speak English, but it's a foreign language to us Yanks!
Post some photos! Years ago I was all set to ship my motorcycle to Australia for a long ride, then I met a gal, got married, kids came along and I reluctantly threw away all of my Aussie traveling stuff. Kids have a way of throwing a damper on things. It's a good thing they're cute when little because otherwise we'd stuff them into a gunny sack and throw them into the pond.
Welcome to the UHH
Thanks everyone.Yeah I recon there is a bit of language diff. But what the hell,it would be boring if we all spoke the same,AYE ??. Certainly beats using brail.
Your quite right about the kids, damper is an understatement, indeeeeed. But now I'm free.(WELL THAT'S WHAT I KEEP TELLING MYSELF ANYWAY).Will work on some pics.
