You deviant! I had that same sketch about that long ago, I also carried it in my wallet for laughs. To show it around the guys when we were on the syrup.
Amazing the Yardley 2way powder puff, crossed many countries it seemed.
I may still have it in my treasures. How times have changed with technology. There in no need for sketches now with In Your Face pornography at the click of a key, & there's not much talent in those presentations.
Thanks for sharing an old blast from the past.

I know I traced that sketch out a few times over the years, but mostly in the early days. It would not surprise me if the piece of paper I scanned the other day is actually close to 50 years old.

I tend to not throw things (of great value) away.

As for the second, it really doesn't matter much which side anyone is on. Really, out of 350 million citizens these are the best 2 you can come up with??? The damage to your international reputation and your credibility as a world-leading nation (democracy at it's finest????) has already been done. I think what your new slogan/motto should be -- and what a lot of the world is thinking -- is "God Help America." Much as outsiders might like to stay out of US politics, we WILL suffer the consequences.

This rant from a denizen of a nation so imbecilic that it lets Mounties wear turbans instead of the proper hat; let's some schoolkids carry daggers at school; and idolizes a dirtbag Trudeau who is openly inviting extremist Muslims to trash Canada as they are already doing to Europe. Methinks you've been hit on the noggin too many times with hockey pucks.

C'mon, folks. This is my thread, and I admitted that I was wrong to take the bait on the politicking a few posts ago.

Let's stick to the topic of the section and put the other comments in the Attic.

LoL, John, it really is to bad that you tried to bring a little levity to this jaded old group and now they're all trying to chew off their tales to spite their butts.
OK, no I won't take the lovey D and try to fold her up....., but I DID take your challenge but I cheated! With my phone, I expanded yours to the dotted lines and it does make a cute little illusion!
I'll admit, a lot of VERY careful artistic forethought went into that little sketch.

A little side story. About 25 years ago I bought an old wooden carpenters tool tote. It had a few fancy little pigeon hole areas etc. I took all the old tools out and some time later noticed one of the areas had a sort of false bottom. I pulled it up and folded up under it was a page out of a 50's looking girly mag. On both sides were nude girls. It was as worn as an old dollar bill.
I can only imagine the old guys at lunch, passing that page around, If only it could talk. And the gals by now, long gone and buried!
I wanted to frame it, but alas somewhere it dissapeard and I never knew what happened to it! Lost to history!!

Seriously? You don't see it?

Fold back her head and the writing at the horizontal lines to see only the middle section of the sketch. And don't forget to rotate by 180 degrees (top to bottom). I can't be any more clear than that.

I did it quickly with Snaggit. It is as you say. Not sure it would be worth carrying for 50 years, but considering the state of the world back then, why not.

John, you are right. Many of us have planned where we would move if Trump happened to win. Canada and Mexico are out because Trump might bomb both of those. Maybe Spain. (If I didn't hate cold, the Scandinavian countries would be great.) Greece, Italy, Portugal are all other good options.

In Junior High I had one of those folding papers. I was lucky I survived my mother finding it in my wallet!

Cambriaman, I'll bet your mother confiscated it and promptly showed it to all her friends.

I am really impressed to hear how widely this little foldup was distributed throughout the world... and that it stirred up a few memories.

Of course, I'm still hoping that someone with good access to models will take up the challenge.

I think the tricky part of posing a real model is getting the arm/leg transformation to look acceptable. Maybe an animation in which one image morphs to the other is the way to go, but I have no idea of how to do that. I certainly don't have the software.

You're right, you aren't a great illustrator (by this drawing anyway). My question is: Is she supposed to be powdering her muff, or is she simply scratching at a fairly wooly bush?

It was not my illustration; as I said, I traced it from a friend's copy. As for what she is really doing, I leave that up to the photographer who recreates this with a live model.

BTW, thanks for bumping this thread. It's been over 2 years and no takers. I guess it is just too much to ask of a photographer who is paying a model by the hour. But there are some photographers here who don't have to pay their models for their time... it's like they have Infinite resources (c'mon my friend(s), give it a try!).
