Excellant trip:

We just got back from a trip to Santa Rosa, California where we attended the Heirloom Seed Festival. Three days of lectures on growing, new seeds and ideas and people from all over the world. It was a real eye opener. But after two day we decided we had enough lectures and wanted to do something else. It was off to the coast to Bodega Bay. Some of you make recognize the name as the town they filmed the movie, "The Birds". It is still quiet and laid back and does not seem to have changed much over the years. We found the Pacific Ocean to be more interesting 7 miles up the coast in Jenner. Here are some photos to look at. Hope you enjoy.
On the last one my wife say she would not want to live there. Look at the trees and it was not windy.

Really nice shots. I was in Bodega Bay two days after they finished shooting "The Birds" My wife and I went to eat ay an Italian restaurant near there and they told us that we missed Hitchcock by one evening. They had the famous drawing of Hitch on the wall that he gave them and signed. Your the first person that I know that has even heard of Bodega Bay, thanks for the pic's, brings back memories.

But....the last image shows it IS WINDY there, a lot! We have some coastal exposures here on the Central Coast that have similar trees leaning in a similar way.

The City of Logan Utah has on the campus of Utah State University a section of tree that look like that. The wind blows down the canyon all of the time and causes the tree to grow slanted. Thanks for looking, I enjoyed your comment.

Thank you for taking the time to look and to comment. Where is Paris Tennessee. I knew there was Paris, Tennessee and Paris Idaho. Seems to be a common name.

Beautiful shots. The first one of the pumpkin/gourd pile is quite impressive. Bodega Bay looks a bit cloudy and dreary. Hope it is not like that all the time.
