Pyranees are white and the Newfie is black brown and white chest marks. So, that is a Newfoundland. Both are great dogs. One of the best dogs I ever had was a Great Pyranees who watched my goats. No coyote ever got into the pasture with him there.
I have two Newfies one is all black, one is a Landseer (black and white ). Sweetest pups (going on 10 years now), and I agree, the old dog has greyed in the face, but he is a Newfy. Great photo, not much drool to see there. Good job!
You are fortunate, we have new neighbors that have 2 dogs, Cinnamon and Noah. Cinnamon is a sweetheart, but from day one Noah( big and black and grouchy) for some reason has a major case of dislike for me. I think would take my arm of if given the chance. Cinnamon will come up for a a pet and a scratch.

Sounds like Oreo has you trained
Newfies are mostly black.
What a beautiful dog! And guess what? My kitty is named Oreo, too! I love the shot with his eye peeking through the fence! Good ones, Wesso!

That dog needs a hug not a pet.
Nice pics

That's one giant lovable mutt and your images of Oreo are excellent, Wes.
