For a while been looking for extending my gear with a prime lens for my D750. I've been looking to the Sigma 50mm 1,4 Art and the Nikon 50mm 1,4. After several articles and some advice I went for Sigma 50mm 1.4 Art second hand, and can just say i'm thrilled. I love this lens. Took it for a spin and shot some samples of my friend son. It wasn't the perfect day for light, cloudy and gray, and inside their home not much light to work with either. So I was happy to have a lens which can open very wide and allow for more light and maintain my shutterspeed. Had to get used to the idea of moving myself rather than zooming in or out. And I must say it's not that bad. I definitely see room for improvement, but so far very happy with the result. I think I'll be using this lens a lot more when it comes to portraits and looking forward to some more good shots.
Your lens seems to be working fine. Nice clear family photos that you will cherish always.

I find their boy wonderful for pictures and I am glad I can practice. I shall be doing family photo for another friends of mine this weekend and the lens will be running hot
